Ok...  Here's my first thread.  And since I love tracking recruits, it should come as no surprise to the rest of you that it's about the recruiting class of 09.

Here we are, not even done with June, and we already have some great recruits giving their verbals to Boise.  The verbals so far include...

• John Michael Davis, WLB, ranked 14 on Scout (at time of posting).
  Excellent linebacker.  Currently a 3 star, but will likely jump up to a 4 star before the end of 2008.
• Joe Southwick, QB, ranked 39 on Scout.
  Great QB with lot's of upside potential at the college level.
• Malcolm Johnson, RB, ranked 44 on Scout
  #1 running back in Oregon currently.  I'm excited about this guy.
• Quaylon Ewing, CB, ranked 61 on Scout.
  Size AND speed at CB.  Great!!!
• Ebo Makinde, CB, not ranked.
  Another fast CB.
• Aaron Burks, WR, not ranked.
  At 6'4", this kid runs the 40 in 4.5.  WOW!  Why is he not ranked???

Other recruits to get excited about...

• Allen Mooney, MLB, ranked 22 on Scout.
  Allen lists Boise as High on his interest list.  It will be between us and UW.  Hope he makes the right choice!
• Christopher Coyle, TE, ranked 32 on Scout.
  Not the best TE showing interest in Boise, but the one we'll likely land.  Still, a great grab.

Boise St is experiencing some great times right now.  New Press/Luxury boxes, new turf (on flat field - crown being removed), and potentially the best recruiting season in the history of Boise.  Could this be the first year Boise recruits a 5 star???  It's exciting being a Boise fan!!!
